SBCC is contracted with Clark County Real Property Management (CCRPM) to improve and redesign the existing Dr. William U. Pearson Park in Las Vegas, Nevada to comply with U.S.A Track and Field (USATF) facility requirements. SBCC's scope includes evaluation of existing site conditions, facility layout, and design of water, sewer, drainage, parking and path of travel improvements. The design of the renovations included:
- New track and field facilities and equipment;
- Selective demolition of existing site features;
- Design of a new concession stand and storage building and;
- Preparation of a technical drainage study update.
SBCC completed Level C subsurface utility engineering (SUE) services in support of the renovation project. SBCC gathered as-built information on the existing utilities, surveyed above ground utility components, and represented the existing utility information on the civil design drawings. SBCC also assessed the impact to existing utilities to support the new construction.
SBCC led the design team consisting of Architecture, MEP, structural, Landscape Architecture, Survey, and Geotechnical Evaluation sub consultants. The project is permitted through the City of Las Vegas, but also required coordination with the Las Vegas Valley Water District, Nevada Energy, North Las Vegas Sewer, and Clark County Regional Flood Control District.
