SBCC was contracted by Building Solutions (BSI) to provide design services for the demolition and restoration of a five building, seven-and-a-half acre recreational facility at Nellis Air Force Base (AFB), Nevada.

The work scope included the following:

Existing Pools SBCC gathered as-built information, surveyed the site utilizing Level C Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services, located existing utilities, and prepared the demolition plan, traffic control plan, grading plan, and storm water pollution prevention plan for construction. Nellis AFB required all utilities to be cut back to the street to support future development. The site was re-graded to drain and allow for future development. Sidewalks and gutters were re-engineered to convey flow past previous site entrances, and the site was completed with rock mulch for dust control and aesthetics. SBCC designed a new trash dumpster enclosure, and prepared a specification for crushing and reusing demolished concrete onsite to divert waste from the landfill.
